How to obtain police clearance in Qatar

 

If you need to apply a Police Clearance Certificate for Immigration, then you need to read the information below. Please note that the police certificate is only valid for 3 months.

1.      1. Where is the location? Which office will provide a Police Clearance Certificate?   

You should apply at the CEID (Criminal Evidences & Information Dept) located along Salwa Road just before the first interchange.

2. What documents of support you need? 

          You need to download the form from this site:

1.               www.moi.gov.qa/site/english/departments/CEID/resources/2010/08/25_18316.pdf

    The following required along with the form:
    Copy of the passport front page 
    A copy of the Visa page
    2 passport size photos
    Copy of your ID card

          Original Passport
    Fees: 12 Qatar Riyals

3. How long does it usually take to get a Police Clearance Certificate?

I         Not sure, but they told me around 3 weeks

4. Is this certificate in Arabic or English, or in both languages? 

          You can request at the time of application to be issued in English
